This Morakniv Bushcraft Tactical knife features a burly, 1/8-inch (3.2 mm) thick, 4.3-inch long, razor-sharp Sandvik stainless steel blade. The blade is partially serrated at the base near the finger guard and is treated with an anti-corrosive black coating. The 90-degree spine of the blade has also been specially ground for use with a fire starter and for making tinder shavings. Features an ergonomic, double-molded rubber handle with high-friction grip and finger protection. Includes a heavy-duty Nylon MOLLE-compatible sheath with bungee-style retention strap. Sandvik stainless steel blades are ideally suited for marine, fishing, outdoor and construction applications, where knives see hard use and are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. The chromium content of stainless steel makes them less susceptible to corrosion and oxidation than carbon steels, giving them a longer life overall. Sandvik knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891.
